CommunitySpark by NexaSphere

Effective Date: February 2026 · Last Updated: February 2026

Overview

CommunitySpark is a Chrome extension built by NexaSphere that helps you track and build relationships with people across Reddit and X (Twitter). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All of the following data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB and Chrome Storage API). None of this data is transmitted to NexaSphere servers.

  • Targets: Names, platform handles (Reddit usernames, X handles), tags, and notes you create about people you want to track
  • Engagements: Records of your interactions including dates, platform, post URLs, content snippets, and your replies
  • Settings: Your preferences including theme, sidebar position, notification preferences, and AI provider configuration
  • License Information: Your subscription status and license key (if applicable)

Data Encrypted on Your Device

  • AI API Keys: If you provide an API key for AI-powered reply suggestions, it is encrypted using the Web Crypto API (AES-256-GCM) before storage. The key never leaves your browser in plaintext.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect browsing history
  • We do not collect page content from websites you visit
  • We do not track which Reddit posts or X tweets you view
  • We do not send any telemetry, analytics, or usage data to our servers
  • We do not access your Reddit or X account credentials
  • We do not post on your behalf — every reply requires your manual action

Third-Party Services

AI API Providers

If you choose to use AI-powered reply suggestions, CommunitySpark sends the following data directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI):

  • The content of the post/tweet you're replying to
  • Your past engagement history with the target (to provide context)
  • Your chosen tone preference

This communication happens directly between your browser and the AI provider using your own API key. NexaSphere does not proxy, intercept, or store these requests.

Please review the privacy policies of your chosen AI provider:

LemonSqueezy (Payment Processing)

If you subscribe to CommunitySpark Pro, payment is processed by LemonSqueezy. We receive a license key to verify your subscription status. We do not store your payment details.

Chrome Permissions

CommunitySpark requests the following browser permissions:

PermissionPurpose
activeTabDetect targets on the current Reddit or X page you're viewing
storageStore your settings, license status, and preferences locally
alarmsSchedule periodic checks for relationship health (stale target alerts)
notificationsAlert you when tracked relationships need attention

Content Script Access

CommunitySpark's content script runs only on:

The content script reads author names from posts and comments to detect your targets. It does not read or store the full content of pages you visit.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • All data is stored locally and persists until you delete it
  • You can delete individual targets and their engagement history at any time
  • You can export all your data (CSV/JSON) before deletion
  • Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data
  • We have no server-side data to delete because we never collect it

Data Export

You can export your complete data at any time:

  • Individual target engagement history as CSV
  • Full database export as JSON
  • This data is yours — we never restrict access to it

Children's Privacy

CommunitySpark is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
