Do I need an API key to use CommunitySpark?
No! CommunitySpark works without any API key. Target detection, engagement tracking, and relationship health all work out of the box. An API key (Anthropic or OpenAI) is only needed if you want AI-powered reply suggestions.
What platforms does it support?
CommunitySpark currently supports Reddit (including old.reddit.com) and X (Twitter). LinkedIn support is planned for Phase 2.
Where is my data stored?
All your data — targets, engagements, settings — is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. Nothing is sent to our servers. If you uninstall the extension, the data is removed. You can export your data anytime.
What are the free tier limits?
The free tier lets you track up to 10 people with 5 AI draft suggestions per day. All core features — detection, engagement history, relationship health, CSV import/export — are included free.
How does the AI reply feature work?
When you click "Draft Reply," CommunitySpark sends the post content and your engagement history with that person to your chosen AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) using your own API key. The AI generates a context-aware reply that references your shared history. You always review and edit before posting.
Can CommunitySpark post on my behalf?
No. CommunitySpark never posts automatically. Every reply requires your manual action — you review the draft, edit it if needed, and click to insert it into the platform's native reply box. You still press "Submit" yourself.
