Does SubGrade work without internet?
Yes. SubGrade runs on your iPhone. There is no account and no server, and core features do not need internet.
Do I have to connect my bank account?
No. SubGrade does not use Plaid and does not ask for your bank password. You add subscriptions manually using 30 pre-built templates. Your financial data stays on your device.
How does the A-F grade work?
Each subscription is graded on cost per use: monthly cost divided by how many times you used it that month. A is under $1 per use. F is over $15 per use, or unused for 30 or more days.
Is the free tier free?
Yes. It has no time limit and needs no credit card. You can track up to 5 subscriptions forever at no cost. The paywall only appears when you add a 6th subscription. If you have 5 or fewer, you will never see it.
What does Lifetime mean?
Yes. Lifetime means as long as SubGrade exists on the App Store, with every future update included. If we ever wind the app down, we announce it at least 90 days in advance and Lifetime holders receive a pro-rated refund. Details in the Terms of Service.
What iPhone do I need?
iOS 16 or later, which means any iPhone from the iPhone 8 (2017) or newer.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap SubGrade, then Cancel. Apple manages all billing, so you can cancel in one tap anytime.
