Grade your subscriptions. No bank login required.
SubGrade gives each subscription an A-F grade based on cost-per-use math. Manual entry, no Plaid, no bank password, runs entirely on your iPhone. See which of your subscriptions are actually worth keeping before the next charge hits.
Sound familiar?
Subscriptions you forgot you had
Netflix you have not opened in six weeks. Duolingo Premium you meant to cancel last month. The renewal email lands, you ignore it, the charge hits anyway.
You will not hand over your bank password
Most subscription trackers demand a Plaid bank login before they do anything. The majority of people refuse to give a third-party app their bank credentials, so they get nothing.
Raw numbers do not change behavior
A spreadsheet of monthly costs tells you what you spend, not what is worth keeping. A $15 app used daily is fine. A $7 app used twice a year is not. You need the verdict, not the line item.
Canceling is designed to be painful
Hidden cancel buttons, retention dark patterns, and disputes over whether you actually canceled. By the time you give up, you have been charged again.
Everything you need
A-F grade by cost-per-use
Every subscription gets a letter grade based on cost-per-use math — monthly cost divided by how many times you actually used it. A is under $1 per use. F is over $15 per use, or unused for 30+ days. No opinions, just the math.
No bank login. No Plaid. No compromise.
Add subscriptions manually with one tap using 30 pre-built templates. SubGrade never asks for your bank password, never connects to Plaid, and never leaves your iPhone. Your financial data stays yours.
Keep or Kill before it charges you
Before each renewal date, SubGrade surfaces a Keep/Kill swipe card with the math already done. If you kill it, 28 built-in cancel links walk you through the process and the proof vault timestamps your confirmation.
42-rule overlap detector
Paying for two music apps? Three video streamers with overlapping catalogs? SubGrade's 42-rule overlap detector flags redundant subscriptions so you stop paying twice for the same thing.
Cancellation proof vault
Every cancellation you confirm is timestamped and stored locally. When a service claims you never canceled, you have the receipt — on your device, not theirs.
Runs entirely on-device
Subscriptions, grades, and cancellation proofs all live in your iPhone sandbox via Apple SwiftData. No account, no server, no analytics SDK. Nothing leaves your phone unless you tap Share.

Frequently asked questions
Does SubGrade work without internet?
Yes. SubGrade runs entirely on your iPhone. No account, no server, no internet required for core functionality. The only thing that needs internet is the initial App Store download.
Do I have to connect my bank account?
Never. SubGrade does not use Plaid and never asks for your bank password. You add subscriptions manually using 30 pre-built templates. Your financial data stays on your device.
How does the A-F grade work?
Each subscription is graded on cost-per-use — monthly cost divided by how many times you used it that month. A is under $1 per use. F is over $15 per use, or unused for 30 or more days. It is the math, not an opinion.
Is the Free tier actually free?
Yes, genuinely free with no time limit and no credit card. You can track up to 5 subscriptions forever at no cost. The paywall only appears when you add a 6th subscription. If you have 5 or fewer, you will never see it.
Is the Lifetime tier really lifetime?
Yes. Lifetime means as long as SubGrade exists on the App Store, with every future update included. If we ever wind the app down, we announce it at least 90 days in advance and Lifetime holders receive a pro-rated refund. Details in the Terms of Service.
What iPhone do I need?
iOS 16 or later, which means any iPhone from the iPhone 8 (2017) or newer.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap SubGrade, then Cancel. Apple manages all billing, so you can cancel in one tap anytime.
