Yes. MedLog AI processes everything on-device using Apple Foundation Models. No patient data ever leaves your iPhone. We use Secure Enclave encryption, NSFileProtection, and maintain a full privacy audit trail. There is no server, no cloud AI, no network calls during core workflows.
Does it work without internet?
100% yes. Voice recording, AI note structuring, SOAP formatting, ICD-10 suggestions, PDF export — all work completely offline. The only features that need internet are StoreKit subscription validation and optional CloudKit encrypted backup.
Can I export notes to my EHR?
Yes. MedLog AI exports in FHIR R4 (the healthcare interoperability standard), PDF, plain text, and CDA format. Use the iOS Share Sheet to send notes to any app, email, or file system. Most modern EHRs accept FHIR bundles.
What is the free tier?
The free tier gives you 5 encounters per day with 20 patients and 3 ICD-10 suggestions per encounter. You get the full voice-to-SOAP experience but cannot export. This lets you evaluate the core workflow for as long as you need before committing.
How accurate is the AI?
MedLog AI uses Apple Foundation Models (3B parameter on-device LLM) trained on medical terminology. It handles medication names, dosages, medical abbreviations, vital signs, and clinical negation. Each SOAP section shows an AI confidence score so you know exactly what to review.
Do I need a new iPhone?
MedLog AI requires iPhone 15 Pro or newer (A17+ chip) for the on-device Foundation Models. It runs on iOS 18+. The AI processing requires the Neural Engine in newer chips to deliver the 5-second processing speed.
