Six chapters wired in v1: H-3 Hull Structure, H-22 DC Electrical, H-24 Gasoline Fuel, H-25 LPG, H-27 Seacocks, H-32 AC Electrical. Tap a row to cycle Pass, Advisory, Fail, N/A. Checklist results stamp into the report.
On-device draft prose
Deterministic on-device composer assembles a section paragraph from your LiDAR measurements, voice notes, and the selected ABYC chapter. Useful starting prose your professional eye can edit. Generative LLM drafting is intentionally deferred to v1.1 so we never quietly call a cloud model.
Per-foot detailer quote
On the dock, set per-foot rate and a surface multiplier, tap Capture and Quote, tap to place the bow and stern anchors. The total is length feet times rate times multiplier, rounded to cents. Sign on the dock at a number you measured, not a number you guessed.
Boatshop work-order board
Open work orders, tap to dispatch to a named tech, track status from open to invoiced. Tech roster and dispatch live in v1; QuickBooks invoicing and multi-marina admin land in v1.1.
On-device privacy
LiDAR scans, voice notes, vessel records, and the draft prose all live in your iPhone sandbox via Apple SwiftData. No analytics SDK. No third-party model. No server. Nothing leaves your phone unless you tap Share.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an iPhone Pro?
For the highest measurement confidence, yes. iPhone 12 Pro through iPhone 17 Pro have a LiDAR scanner. Devices without LiDAR can still run MarineLens but measurements come back with a lower confidence score and a fallback notice.
Where do my LiDAR scans and PDFs go?
On your device only. There is no server. Surveys, voice notes, draft prose, USDZ scans, and PDF file paths are stored locally via Apple SwiftData. If you tap Save to Photos, the file is exported to your iOS Photo Library.
What is in v1 vs v1.1?
v1 ships LiDAR measurement, the ABYC checklist library, deterministic on-device draft prose, the per-foot detailer quote, and the boatshop work-order dispatch board. v1.1 adds generative LLM drafting, multi-marina admin tooling, QuickBooks Online sync, CloudKit sync across your devices, and a Marina Suite tier.
Are survey reports admissible in an insurance dispute?
MarineLens reports include geometry-backed measurements, ABYC chapter results, voice notes, and a SHA-256 watermark on the PDF. Admissibility is ultimately a function of your professional credentials and the carrier's standards. The app gives you the evidence trail; you sign the report.
How do I cancel?
Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap MarineLens, then Cancel. Apple manages all billing.
