Frequently asked questions
Are my contracts ever uploaded?
No. PDF parsing, clause segmentation, and AI analysis all run on your iPhone. The app has no backend server. There is no third-party AI service involved.
Is the AI analysis legal advice?
No. CounselVault is a reading aid, not legal advice. The risk flags and summaries are generated by an on-device language model and may miss issues or flag things incorrectly. Consult a licensed attorney before signing or relying on any contract analysis.
Can I export the review?
Yes. Tap Export to generate an annotated PDF with the summary, risk flags, and clause analysis. Share via the iOS share sheet.
What file formats are supported?
PDF is fully supported. Plain text and DOCX import are supported on iOS 17 and newer. Scanned PDFs work via Apple Vision OCR on-device.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions, CounselVault, Cancel Subscription.
