LAUNCH49Limited time offerTest APIs Where You Already Debug
Postman killed its free tier. Insomnia went cloud-only. ARC got discontinued. API Dash is a lightweight, privacy-first API client that lives inside Chrome DevTools. No downloads, no accounts, no context switching.
Sound familiar?
Postman Became Bloated
What started as a simple API testing tool is now a 500MB Electron app that requires an account, pushes team collaboration features, and killed its free tier in March 2026.
Constant Context Switching
Debugging an API response in DevTools, then switching to a separate app to tweak the request, then back to DevTools to check. Every switch costs 5-15 minutes of focus.
Privacy Concerns
Cloud-based API tools sync your requests, headers, and auth tokens to external servers. For internal APIs and sensitive endpoints, that is a compliance risk.
Everything you need
Request Builder
Full-featured request composer with 7 body types, auth, headers, query params, and variable interpolation
Code Generator
Generate working API code in 11 languages including JavaScript, Python, Go, Rust, PHP, Ruby, Java, and C#
Collections & Folders
Organize your API requests into collections with nested folders for clean project structure
cURL Import & Export
Paste any cURL command to import, or export your request as cURL for sharing with teammates

Frequently asked questions
Is API Dash really free?
Yes. Unlimited REST and GraphQL testing, cURL import/export, request history, and 3 collections are completely free with no time limit. Pro unlocks unlimited collections, WebSocket testing, and Postman import for $7/mo.
Where is my data stored?
Everything is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB. Your requests, collections, environments, and history never leave your machine. The extension only uses Chrome's storage permission.
Can I import my Postman collections?
Yes (Pro feature). Export your Postman collection as JSON v2.1, then import it into API Dash. Collections, folders, and request configurations are preserved.
Does it work with GraphQL?
Yes. API Dash includes a dedicated GraphQL editor with query formatting, variable support, and syntax awareness. Works with any GraphQL endpoint.
How is this different from the Network tab?
The Network tab shows requests your page makes. API Dash lets you compose and send your own requests with custom headers, auth, body, and variables. Think of it as Postman inside DevTools.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Your data is stored in Chrome's local storage for the extension. If you uninstall, the data is removed. We recommend exporting important collections as JSON before uninstalling.
Does it support authentication?
Yes. Bearer token, Basic auth, and API Key (in header or query parameter). Auth values support environment variable interpolation for switching between dev/staging/production.
